You know those people that just radiate cool vibes without even trying? That’s Allison and Josh. Their desert wedding was simple but absolutely breathtaking. And as we scrolled through their wedding gallery, we just couldn’t get over how adorable they are together.
Today is a real treat because this wedding is from March of this year. YA’LL! I’m basically blogging in real time. What a dream. This wedding is so sweet and has some of my most favorite things: a crying groom at ceremony, tons of color in their decor, PATTERNED LINEN, and fun elements that show you just how rad the couple really is (beer burro? yesssss). If you’re planning a desert wedding that’s bursting with color, this wedding is a GREAT place to pull inspiration from.
Let’s start with the ceremony space, shall we? Roxanne and Brandon brought us this fun idea for the aisle rose petals. It’s so playful and perfectly pulls their bright colors through their ceremony space. If you peep the front of the aisle, you can spot not one but TWO installations! El Chorro is a gorgeous space for a wedding and this sweet lawn creates an intimate setting for “i do”. The gates behind the arch lead out to the parking lot so we wove foliage and flowers into the ironwork to obscure the view. I love the way it looks like this design grew there all by itself. And, of course, the real stunner here is our natural wood arch adorned with two BIG sprays of pink blooms.
I LOVE kids in grown up clothes. There’s just something about it that always puts a smile on my face. And this little guy in his suit bring me alllllll the joy.
I love the way Roxanne and Brandon chose to outfit their bridal party. It’s not often that we see bridesmaids in hot pink and we are SO HERE FOR IT. The highlight of the family and bridal party photos has to be the beer burro who stopped by at the last minute, delivered everyone beer, and stole the show.
This reception was sooooooo funnnnnnn. I truly can’t get over these patterned La Tavola linen and the character the bring to the space. Top it all off with some bold flowers and you’ve got yourself a dream of a reception!
We’re heading into spring so it’s the PERFECT time of year to re-share Sam and Scott’s gorgeous El Chorro wedding day. These two said their “I do’s” in a traditional ceremony surrounded by gorgeous, muted desert colors then partied the night away in a fiesta inspired reception. I LOVE the idea of going both traditional AND modern; these two truly nailed it.
Are you ready for THE PARTY!? I’m truly obsessed with all the fun details that came together to create this re option set up.
Noelle is a talented makeup artist, the sweetest soul, and a hilarious friend of mine. We knew of each other but never got to know one another until she hired us to flower her vow renewal.
Noelle and Rich have been married for 15+ years now but they never really had their dream wedding. So, two years ago for their 15th married year, they tied the knot in a party neither of them would ever forget. It was such a gorgeous day and I’m thrilled to FINALLY be sharing it with you!!
Noelle had a really clear vision for the design of her big day and it was SO fun to see it come to life over the course of her planning. Their venue, The Camby Hotel, set the stage perfectly for their modern, boho wedding style. It felt luxurious but also very grounded which is not an easy feat!=
Noelle’s dad built this gorgeous custom shelf for their ceremony decor. It now sits in their home which brings me so much joy I could cry.
HOW ABOUT THAT FIRST LOOK REACTION!?
I don’t know how we never shared Kaycie and Ryan’s gorgeous wedding because it’s one of my all time favorites. Let’s take a trip down memory lane to the fall of 2016, to this gorgeous house that the couple rented for their nuptials, and to all of the stunning and thoughtful details curated by Katherine of Lucky and in Love Events that made for an incredibly stunning wedding day.
This gorgeous Spanish style home sits in a quiet neighborhood in central Phoenix. Each room has SO much personality and the structure overlooks a gorgeous courtyard full of fun and unexpected details. Kaycie and Ryan rented the whole property and stayed there with friends and family the days leading up to the wedding.
For the ceremony space, we teamed up with our favorite guys at the Shred Shop to create a custom arch. This beauty is copper and was COVERED in roses, dahlia, ranunculus, and bougainvillea and is one of our all time favorite designs.
In a play on the spanish details in the home, Kaycie and Ryan created their escort cards on printed tiles. It’s such a fun element to their wedding day decor and truly helped to tie their special day into the gorgeous place they celebrated in!
Centerpieces featured trios of mixed metal vases and CLEAR. ACRYLIC. TABLE. NUMBERS. Can we juuuuust take a minute and lean into how cool they are?!?!? I die.
Our gals at Ruze Cakehouse used Kaycie and Ryan’s custom monogram to create a pattern on their trio of cakes. I’m going on record today to vote for more clusters of cakes at weddings.
