Kate & Bill's Colorful Rehearsal Dinner

This week we're coming at you with part one of a special, two-part event! Last year, we worked with Kate & Bill to design their dream rehearsal dinner and wedding (we'll share all of the wedding details tomorrow!).

To kick things off, I'll tell you that we offer a select number of styling packages each year. It's an off-menu item (ya know, like animal style fries at In n' Out), but it's something we absolutely love to do.

Kate & Bill are a rad couple from New York that were planning their dream wedding weekend in Arizona. They love to travel, they have the sweetest dogs (and the occasional foster!), and their style is best described as industrial meets pottery barn. I liked them from the moment I met them and it was so fun to help create a vision that showed off their personalities for their wedding.

With many guests traveling to Arizona for the big day, Kate & Bill wanted to have a fun, fiesta inspired rehearsal dinner that really leaned into the southwestern vibes. If you're looking for a fun, themed party - your rehearsal dinner is the perfect place to do it.

To create the look, we worked with a local artist to create hundreds of hand cut paper flowers. We kept the color palette and table linens tight with ombre centerpieces so that we got the "fiesta" vibe but kept the event feeling upscale. The balloon signage fit perfectly with the lighthearted aesthetic of the event and also allowed us to personalize the decor. Flowers on Power Ladies

Sometimes I like to take on projects just to stretch my creative muscles a bit. We love our wedding clients but in order to keep things fresh, I think it's great to design in unexpected ways. A couple of years ago we took part in a shoot with a group of incredibly talented power ladies. We all met at Fawn's house with our various tools (some buckets of flowers, a pile of clothes, etc.) and just created. In the moment. And what resulted are some of my favorite images.

Cara & Kynan's Modern Boho Wedding

Whoever told you modern and boho can't mix was lying to you. One of our favorite things to do here is blend two disparate styles into a seamless design for our couples' wedding days. Cara loved the boho look but chose a very modern venue and at the end of the day, the two styles meshed perfectly.

This ceremony set-up is one of our all time favorites. Our rustic wooden arch was created just for us from found Arizonan wood. For Cara and Kynan, we adorned the arch with dozens of white roses, hydrangea, larkspur, and ranunculus and added the boho element with gorgeous, seasonal green vines. Each guest seat featured a small yellow boutonniere in memory of Cara's father. It honestly took our breath away to see every guest at the wedding wearing a happy little reminder of him throughout the night. And if we're being totally honest, every time we look at her pictures we tear up a little bit.

We love Clayton on the Park because their reception space is full of beautiful light and lends itself to many different layouts. Cara and Kynan mixed rounds and rectangular tables to fit all of their guests and sat at a grand head table in the front of the room. Centerpieces alternated between oversize arrangements in our brass vases and garland to create a mix of textures and height. Blooms were added to the gorgeous cake from Ruze and touches of gold throughout the space helped add some elegance to the design.

One of our favorite elements from the day was the lush head table garland. We layered our favorite seasonal foliages down the length of the table and dotted in tons of white blooms for a full, garden-style look that really anchored the room.
