Over the summer, we got to help create this gorgeous styled shoot with the ladies of Dash Event Company. You wouldn’t know by looking at these incredible images, but it was the hottest. day. of. the. year. At a crisp 118, we sweat through the afternoon to pull everything together and I am endlessly amazed at how stunning the end result is!! Get you a team that can create this kind of beauty outdoors in 118 degree heat.
New Year’s Eve will mark one year of marriage for Cherisse and Ashley and I am so excited to finally be sharing their stunning New Year’s Eve wedding with you. If you followed along with the story of our rebrand on Instagram, then you know that 2017 was both a year of incredible fortune and deep sadness in my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to help us close out our 2017 season than these two amazing women.
Cherisse and Ashley had the most beautiful, calm winter day as the scene for their wedding. Upstate New York is one of the most peaceful areas I’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time in and their venue, Feast at Roundhill, was straight out of a fairytale. Fresh snow blanketed the grounds and the interior of the venue was cozy and warm.
These ladies have a deep love for Harry Potter so their big day was full of nods to both the books and the movies. From the winged key escort cards to the tables named after classes and spells, the details were thoughtfully woven throughout the wedding day without feeling cheesy or overwhelming. I absolutely love the challenge of bringing a themed wedding to life without creating an event that feels dated or expected. Lindsay, the planner and owner of Fancy Lou Designs, absolutely nailed it.
The brides had the most incredible first look on the snowy steps at the entrance to their venue. There truly wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
The ceremony space featured a candlelit aisle leading up to a gorgeous, natural wood chuppah.
If you've been around for a while (or really any amount of time) you know that I'm hugely passionate about supporting local business.
Here's the deal. Our government is currently cray. And the way to take back our power is by putting our money where our mouths are. So, here at Hoot & Holler, we make every effort to put our money into businesses in our community and businesses owned by badass women. So, it's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Bella Lily Bridal. Brenda and her husband are hilarious, have EXCELLENT taste, and have created a shop that feels like home. I'm so thrilled to have her in our community and I absolutely loved helping her set the scene for her spring/summer lookbook!
Here are some of our favorite looks from the shoot. If you're still in need of a gown for your big day, I can't recommend Bella Lily Bridal enough and you're about to see why.
