You know those people that just radiate cool vibes without even trying? That’s Allison and Josh. Their desert wedding was simple but absolutely breathtaking. And as we scrolled through their wedding gallery, we just couldn’t get over how adorable they are together.
Wow. Here we are. It’s a momentous occasion, ya’ll.
If you’ve followed us for any sort of time, you know that there are very few flowers that I hate. In fact, there’s really just ONE if we’re being specific. And that one flower…. is babies breath.
STAY WITH ME HERE.
I’m a child of the 90’s. My perception of babies breath is one sad spring alongside a way-too-tight red rose in cellophane paper at my local Safeway. It sheds. It’s hard to tell when it’s alive and fresh because it kind of holds its shape when it dies. And when you use it in mass, it smells like old feet. True story.
SO, for the first few years of this company, I all but refused to use it. If clients requested babies breath, we gently swayed them in a different direction. If they DEMANDED IT (lol our clients are lovely and no one ever does this) we would use it but, ya know, on the DL.
Then, Mandy Moore got married. And that broad’s wedding was FULL of babies breath and pampas grass. AND GOD DAMNIT IT LOOKED SO COOL. So now, we’re inundated with babies breath requests. And after this shoot from the incredible mind of Molly Donovan, dare I say…. I sort of like babies breath now…
Caaaaan we talk about the Airstream Photo Booth bus? It’s so gorgeous, creates SUCH a fun experience for your guests, and looks incredible in photos. Strong yes the Airstream Photo Booth.
AND NOW! THE STATEMENT PIECE. This is the first statement sweetheart table we’ve done and I NEED MOREEEE.
We’re heading into spring so it’s the PERFECT time of year to re-share Sam and Scott’s gorgeous El Chorro wedding day. These two said their “I do’s” in a traditional ceremony surrounded by gorgeous, muted desert colors then partied the night away in a fiesta inspired reception. I LOVE the idea of going both traditional AND modern; these two truly nailed it.
Are you ready for THE PARTY!? I’m truly obsessed with all the fun details that came together to create this re option set up.
Noelle is a talented makeup artist, the sweetest soul, and a hilarious friend of mine. We knew of each other but never got to know one another until she hired us to flower her vow renewal.
Noelle and Rich have been married for 15+ years now but they never really had their dream wedding. So, two years ago for their 15th married year, they tied the knot in a party neither of them would ever forget. It was such a gorgeous day and I’m thrilled to FINALLY be sharing it with you!!
Noelle had a really clear vision for the design of her big day and it was SO fun to see it come to life over the course of her planning. Their venue, The Camby Hotel, set the stage perfectly for their modern, boho wedding style. It felt luxurious but also very grounded which is not an easy feat!=
Noelle’s dad built this gorgeous custom shelf for their ceremony decor. It now sits in their home which brings me so much joy I could cry.
HOW ABOUT THAT FIRST LOOK REACTION!?
Let’s start off this week with a little walk down memory lane.
I started Hoot & Holler (now Form Floral) on the side of a day job that I was really unhappy in. I didn’t know what I was going to do, but I knew that I needed to leave my position as soon as possible for the sake of my mental health. When I put my notice in at my day job, I really did not have the clientele necessary to take my floral design full time. So, I spent my days marketing my ass off in any way I could think of. I had some leftover flowers from a photoshoot and over lunch with my dad, I decided I would create some small arrangements and deliver them to businesses I hoped to work with someday.
One of the places I dropped an arrangement was the Madewell in the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. From that small introduction would grow so many beautiful relationships I can hardly believe it. One of those relationships was with Liz who dropped us a line shortly after she had a ring on her finger.
Liz and Micahel’s wedding was in early 2017 and fell into the very early stages of our a la carte package. It was an absolute joy getting to be a part of their wedding day and, to make things even sweeter, our longtime friend Lunabear Studios was the photographer. It’s alllll so good and I’m thrilled to finally be sharing their day!
