Get Informed: I want a rose petal aisle
Something we frequently quote are rose petal aisles. It’s one of my least favorite designs to quote because there is a LOT of variation in pricing when creating a rose petal aisle. Additionally, our clients are typically surprised by the cost that accompanies rose petals and, to be completely honest, when we first got into this industry we were surprised as well. So today, we're going to break it down for you!
- A rose petal comes from a rose
This sounds like the most obvious statement in the world but sometimes, our brains just don't connect those dots. When there are rose petals scattered down the aisle at your wedding, it means that we bought a full rose and pulled the petals off by hand. When we're buying roses from our wonderful wholesaler, we have to pay the same price for a rose whether it's going to be used for petals or it's going to be placed in your bouquet.
- A single rose doesn't go as far as you might think
To create a full look down your aisle, it can take anywhere from 50 - 1000+ roses depending on how many petals you're envisioning, how solid the petals are, and how long/wide your aisle is. Each of those roses has to be handled individually which requires time and attention from our team. The full rose is not usable as the outer petals are too damaged to be used (torn, browning petals aren't very pretty) and the inner petals are often too small or, sometimes, an entirely different color than the rest of the rose (the inside petals in this pink rose were bright yellow).
